Description

Stanleys Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 18th century, with an early 19th-century right wing and some alterations, as well as a small rear range from the mid to late 19th century. It is constructed of Flemish bond brick and features a string course band on the left range. The building has a tile roof, with a brick stack at the left end and a ridge stack on the wing. It is designed in an L-plan with a cross wing on the right that projects to the rear. The farmhouse is two storeys tall with an attic and has a three-window range.

The central early 19th-century porch features moulded double-leaf four-panel doors with a moulded Greek key pattern on the upper panels. It has a moulded wood architrave with narrow panelled pilasters and a flat roof with a moulded cornice that forms a shallow hood. Above the porch is a tall 18-pane staircase sash window. The ground floor has tripartite sash windows, while the first floor has 16-pane sashes; the right range shows some altered brickwork. The attic includes a 6-pane sash window. Most windows have moulded frames and brick segmental arches.

On the right return side, there is a two-window range with some chequer brickwork. The ground floor features a French window on the left with glazing bars and a panelled sunblind box, alongside a tripartite window on the right that has narrow pilasters. Both of these windows are topped with a shallow moulded cornice hood supported by slender metal uprights. Above, there are 16-pane sashes. To the right, a lower 19th-century one-window range has casements. The rear of the farmhouse includes some cross windows with glazing bars. The interior has not been inspected.
