Description

This building on High Street dates to 1908 and was designed by R and B North and N Hawke of London. It is constructed of ashlar and mimics the architectural style of around 1700. The building is two storeys high. A modern shop front occupies the ground floor. The first floor features an Ionic order, with fluted pilasters supporting an entablature and a pedimented central projection. A plain parapet rises above the pediment and is stepped upwards. Five tall casement windows have glazing bars, rusticated architrave surrounds, keystones, dentil pediments, and flanking Roman Ionic half pilasters.
