Description
The White Lion Public House is a mid-18th century building located on Coventry Road in Pailton. It is constructed of brick, with the front facade rendered, and features a plain tile roof with brick stacks at the ridge and ends. The structure has two storeys plus an attic and includes a four-window range. There is a part-glazed door to the left set within a plain rendered surround, and a door to the right located within a 19th-century gabled porch. The building has 2 and 3-light casement windows on the ground and first storeys, along with four hipped dormers that contain 2-light casements on the roof. Notable architectural details include a rendered plinth, a storey band, and a shallow hood above the left door. The interior has been altered, featuring an inglenook and some chamfered beams.
