Description

Manor Farmhouse is an early 19th-century house located on Coventry Road in Pailton. It is constructed of orange brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with an old tile roof and brick stacks at the ends. The house is three storeys high and has a three-window front. A two-leaved door with margin bars and a fanlight above is set within a reset cast iron porch. The first-floor windows are 12-pane unhorned sashes, while the second-floor windows are 6-pane sashes. The lower windows are canted bays with 8 and 4 panes and margin bars. Cement architraves with gauged brick lintels frame the first and second-floor windows. A moulded cement string course runs along the first floor, and a moulded stone eaves cornice tops the building. A 19th-century two-storey extension is attached to the left side, and an earlier wing, much altered, projects from the rear. Inside, original doors and a plaster cornice are found in the left front room. A three-flight oak staircase features 3 balusters per tread.
