Description
The Rugby Baptist Sunday School Hall is a building constructed in 1905, designed by George Baines and Sons in the Perpendicular style. It is made of red brick with ashlar dressings and features slate roofs adorned with decorative ridge tiles. The structure has a chamfered plinth and an east front that consists of three bays, with a wide central bay defined by buttresses topped with square finials on either side of a coped gable.
The central part of the facade includes a pair of doorways with double plank doors, ornate hinges, and overlights, all set within chamfered ashlar surrounds that have segment heads and hoodmoulds. Flanking these doorways are single light traceried windows. Above, there is a large five-light traceried window, also with a segment head and hoodmould, flanked by additional single light traceried windows. This building is included for its group value only.
