Description

Goodrest Cottage is a cottage, dating to the 17th and 18th centuries. It is constructed with a large timber frame, the infill panels being plastered, with some underbuilding to the left. The left return side has been rebuilt and the right return side underbuilt, both with plastered surfaces. A tarred plinth runs around the base of the building. The thatched roof has brick end stacks. The cottage has a simple, two-room plan and is two storeys high, with a two-window front. A 20th-century door is set within a plain-tile-roofed, open-fronted porch. The ground floor has four windows, with two-light casements; a fire window is located on the right side. The first floor also has four windows, each with small two-light casements. The interior has not been inspected.
