Description

Rawnhill Bridge, also known as Bridge 37, is an accommodation bridge located on the Coventry Canal, built between 1769 and 1771, with later alterations. It was designed by James Brindley. The bridge is constructed of red and later brindled brick, featuring half-round stone parapet copings. It has a single, semi-elliptical arch that spans the canal and towpath, with slightly cambered parapets that curve outwards on plan. This bridge is a rare surviving example of an early structure on the Coventry Canal.
