Description

137 and 139 High Street is a house that was formerly two cottages, likely built in the 17th century. The building features roughcast timber-framing and brick, topped with a plain tile roof and brick ridge stacks. It is two stories high with a two-bay main block on the right, which includes segmental-headed glazing bar casements and a segmental-headed plank door on the left. To the left, there is a slightly lower single-bay wing that has straight-headed casements and a plank door. The left-hand gables show partially exposed collar-and-tie-beam roof trusses. The interior has not been inspected.
