Description

This is a flight of four steps located approximately 5 meters southeast of the southeast terrace at Merevale Hall, built around 1850. The steps are made of sandstone ashlar and feature kerbs. They are part of a formal layout designed by M.A. Nesfield around the same time. The steps are included for their group value, as Merevale gardens are listed in the Historic England Register of Parks and Gardens at grade II.
