Description
The Village Hall, originally a school house, is a Tudor Gothic style building dating from around 1840. It is constructed of coursed and dressed sandstone and features a hipped slate roof with a coved eaves cornice. The front has a central gable that is carved with a cross. The central doorway is set within a chamfered 4-centred arch and has a boarded door with original ironwork. Above the doorway, a moulded label continues over the flanking windows, which are two casements, each with three lights, splayed mullions, and chamfered surrounds. A similar window and label can be found on the south end wall. The 20th-century hall at the rear is not of special architectural interest. The building is included for its group value.
