Description
The Bulls Head Inn is a public house located on Colehill Road in Furnace End. It dates from the 17th century, with an addition from the 18th century. The building is constructed of red brick and sandstone rubble, featuring a plain-tiled gabled roof, while the 18th-century wing at the front has a hipped roof. It has a ridge stack and a three-unit plan, with one storey and an attic. The windows are 20th-century wood casements. The 18th-century wing is made of brick and has two storeys, with a dentil eaves cornice and two recessed first-floor six-pane hung sashes, along with similar larger windows on the ground floor. Inside, the inn features inglenooks that have been restored and altered, as well as stop-chamfered main beams.
