Description
Nos. 92 and 94 High Street is a house that now incorporates shops, dating from the early 19th century. It is built of red brick with a roof that is hidden behind a parapet. The building has three storeys, with reduced proportions on the second floor, and features a plain coped parapet. It has four bays, each with 16-pane glazing bar sashes that have segmental heads and hood moulds, complete with raised keys and block stops. Each keystone is embossed with a rosette. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door framed by engaged Tuscan columns, a panelled doorcase, and an open pediment that contains a fanlight with radiating glazing bars. To the left of the door, there is a late 19th-century shop front featuring colonettes at the corners of two square bay windows. The interior has been altered.
