Description
Perrycrofts is a house that has been converted into flats, built around 1810. It is constructed of brick with ashlar dressings and features a hipped tile roof with two brick stacks. The building has a double-depth central-staircase plan and stands three storeys tall, with a symmetrical three-window range. The exterior includes a weathered ashlar base and boxed eaves. The round-headed entrance is framed by a Doric porch that has a triglyph frieze and a modillioned cornice, with an archivolt and fanlight above a six-panel door. The windows feature rubbed brick flat arches over 12-pane horned sashes, while the second floor has 6-pane sashes. At the rear, there is a round-headed stair window with small-paned glazing and part sashes, located to the right of a late 20th-century two-storey wing. Inside, there is an open-well staircase with moulded tread ends, an open string, and 20th-century balusters and handrail.
