Description
Laund Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century, with additions made in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of coursed dressed and squared stone, topped with a tiled roof that features a cavetto eaves band. The building has verge parapets with pitched copings and a circular corniced stack at the right end.
The farmhouse is two stories high and has a two-window front, with a slightly projecting gabled wing on the left side. There is a blocked circular owl hole at the apex of this wing above a three-light chamfered mullioned window. To the right on the ground floor, there is a similar two-light window that is offset. The set-back wing includes a three-light chamfered mullioned window on the ground floor and a small 20th-century casement window on the first floor. Additionally, there is a part-obscured two-light chamfered mullioned cellar window. The entrance to the farmhouse is located at the rear.
