Description

The Bunion Memorial is a chest tomb located approximately 11 meters south of the chancel of the Church of St. Lawrence. It commemorates Samuel Bunion, who died in 1754. The tomb is made of sandstone ashlar and features low sides set on a moulded plinth. It has inset pilasters at the corners, with low-relief paired paterae on both faces, and banded side panels that are quadranted at the angles. The surbase has breaks at the center and angles, topped with a moulded slab.
