Description
The Knot Inn is a railway inn built in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a banded patterned blue machine tile roof with verge parapets and brick end stacks. The building has a symmetrical, two-storey front with three windows. The windows are glazing bar sashes with painted ashlar block lintels, although the center window now displays the inn sign. There is a moulded surround to the Tudor-arch central entrance, which has a cornice above and inset double, panelled doors. The inn is part of a close group with the adjacent railway station to the west.
