Gate piers and gates dating from the early 19th century are made of cast iron. The square gate piers are decorated with rosettes and topped with urn finials, flanking a pair of gates featuring spearhead railings. This structure is part of the significant garden layout at Alton Towers, which is listed at Grade I on the Historic Buildings and Monuments Commission Gardens Register.
