Description

The barn, now a workshop, likely has a 17th-century core, with significant rebuilding in the early 19th century, and alterations in the 20th century. It is constructed of dressed and squared red sandstone, with a tiled roof featuring eaves bands and verge parapets. A brick end stack is located on the right side. The barn’s single-story plan includes a small addition forming an “L” shape. The front elevation has two small casement windows flanking a central lintel above a boarded door. There is a segmental-arch cart entry to the right and a 20th-century double-door entrance to the left, set against a low-gabled addition. The barn faces Belmont Hall across a carriage yard. It is included on the heritage register for its group value.
