Description

Lytch Gate is an 18th-century cottage located in Cauldon, originally listed as “House south of church”. Constructed from coursed and squared rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings, it features a plain tile roof and brick end stacks. The cottage is aligned north-south, with its eastern facade facing outwards. It is a two-cell design, two storeys high, and has two bays. The ground floor has casement windows, while the first floor features two-light chamfer mullioned windows. A chamfered eaves band runs around the gables of the first-floor windows. A central glazed door is set within a chamfered surround. The interior includes chamfered and stopped ceiling beams and a cupboard built within the thickness of the north wall.
