Description
The Yew Tree Inn is an inn built in the early 19th century, with later additions. It is constructed from coursed and squared rubble, featuring rusticated ashlar quoins of unequal length and ashlar dressings. The roof is plain tile, with brick stacks at both ends and a ridge stack. The building is oriented north-east to south-west and faces south-east. It has two storeys and three windows, which are casements with Gothic glazing bars and raised surrounds. There is a Venetian window in the centre of the first floor, and a central door topped with a segmental pediment. To the left, there is an extension that is also two storeys high with two bays. This extension has casements, including two 20th-century windows on the ground floor to the right, set within a blocked cart entrance, and a door to the left of centre.
