Description
West Lodge to Caverswall Castle is a lodge built around 1890. It is constructed from red sandstone ashlar and features a flat roof that is hidden behind a crenellated parapet, which matches the style of the nearby castle. The entrance front is two stories high and has raised strings at ceiling level. On the left side, there is a single range of three-light chamfered mullioned and transomed windows, and a similar arrangement on the right side. The right side also includes a diagonally-facing rectangular bay. Above a recessed panel that displays a low relief coat of arms, there is a small central window. Below this, the entrance features a labelled round-arched doorway with a part-glazed door.
