Description

This is a house, dating to circa 1810, with a partly 17th-century rear wing. It is now an office. The building is constructed of brick with stucco dressings, and has a tile roof with brick end stacks. It is in a Georgian style. The front elevation has three storeys and a three-window range, with a partly symmetrical design. The right end shows a blocked round arch, possibly indicating a former loading bay, with a round-headed entrance below, featuring a 20th-century door and overlight. The central entrance has a doorcase with fluted pilasters, an entablature, blocks, and an open dentilled pediment, over a board-clad door. A fanlight with glazing bars is above the door. The windows have sills and wedge lintels; those on the ground and first floors have 16-pane sashes, while those on the second floor have 8-pane sashes. The window on the right end is set further to the right than the windows below it. A segmental-headed sashed window is visible on the left return. The rear elevation has a modillioned brick cornice and a gabled wing, originally of two storeys, with a very worn and blocked 4-light stone chamfered-mullioned window. The left return has varied fenestration, including small-paned casements to the top floor, and a lean-to outshut is located to the right.
