Description
Trysull and Seisdon War Memorial is a stone, hooded Latin cross set on a tapering shaft with carved decorative details, which sits atop a square plinth with rounded shoulders. This structure is elevated on a four-stepped circular base.
The front face of the plinth features an incised dedication to those who lost their lives in the First World War, stating: "IN HONOURED MEMORY OF THE MEN FROM TRYSULL AND SEISDON WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR. 1914 – 1918. A TABLET IN THIS CHURCH RECORDS THEIR NAMES."
On the south face of the plinth, there is a dedication to those who lost their lives in the Second World War, which reads: "ALSO THOSE WHO FELL IN THE WAR 1939 – 1945. REST ETERNAL GRANT UNTO THEM O LORD AND LET LIGHT PERPETUAL SHINE UPON THEM. MAY THEY REST IN PEACE."
