Description
Croft Cottage is a 17th-century house located on the west side of School Road in Trysull. It features a timber frame with brick infill, although some of the original infill has been replaced with brick. The cottage has a slate roof and a brick ridge stack. It is one storey and has an attic, with the right half displaying three square panels at the eaves and the left half constructed of brick. There are three flat-roofed dormers and three irregularly spaced casement windows with segmental heads on the left, along with three small leaded casements on the right. A mid-20th century half-glazed door is positioned to the left of centre, supported by scrolled wrought iron brackets under a flat hood. The rear and right gable are fully framed, featuring a queen strut roof truss. The interior has not been inspected.
