Description

The Egginton family memorial, located approximately 20 yards south of the chancel, is an altar tomb dating from the early 19th century. It commemorates John Egginton, who died in 1826, Anne Egginton, who died in 1823, and Hannah Egginton, who died in 1808. The memorial is constructed from ashlar and features a square plan with panelled sides that are oval and rectangular with quadrant corners. It includes corner pilasters, and the caps and frieze are decorated with fleurons. The structure has a moulded base and cornice.
