Description
Miles Green Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with later alterations and some restoration in the 20th century. It is timber framed with brick infill panels and some areas rebuilt in brick. The house features a steeply pitched plain tile roof, with a rendered integral end stack and a ridge stack. It has a 3-bay baffle-entry plan and is aligned north-west to south-east, facing south-west. The building is two storeys high and has three square panels at the eaves with straight braces. The framing of the central bay was replaced in 19th century yellow brick. The windows are of irregular arrangement, mainly consisting of 20th century handmade casements that are in keeping with the character of the building. The exposed left gable displays a collar and tie beam roof truss with closely spaced studs. The fully framed rear wall includes an ogee-headed door located towards the south-east end.
