Description

The Wedgwood Monument is a commemorative structure located in Audley, Staffordshire. It was erected in 1839 and underwent alterations following a partial collapse in 1976. The monument is made of ashlar and features a square pedestal topped by a truncated obelisk with a moulded base. On the east side of the pedestal, there is a panel inscribed with the following text: "JOHN WEDGWOOD / OF / BIGNALL END. ESQUIRE / BORN / FEBRUARY 11th 1760 / DIED / FEBRUARY 6th A.D. 1839."
