Description

Nos. 9-13 Ironmarket is a shop building, likely constructed for commercial use, and possibly originally consisting of two units. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of brick with a plain tiled roof. The building has three storeys and features a three-window range. The ground floor has been altered with late 20th-century shop fronts. The upper windows are three-light casements, which include transoms and segmentally arched heads with keystones on the first floor, while the second storey windows have plain wood lintels. A sill band is present beneath the second floor windows, and there is a dentilled eaves cornice. The building also has gable and axial stacks.
