Description

The Guildhall is a building located on High Street in Newcastle Under Lyme. It was remodeled in 1861, originally built in 1713. The structure is made of red brick with stone dressings and features a plain tiled roof. It has four bays, which are highlighted by giant stone pilasters. The windows are two-light sashes with stone architraves. The building has an apsidal end on the north-western side and a full-height Tuscan portico made of stone on the south-eastern side, which includes a two-stage clock tower topped with a cupola. Additional architectural details include a stone plinth, a string course, and parapet eaves.
