Description

No. 36 High Street is a former public house, likely originally a dwelling, dating from the late 16th century and partly rebuilt in the early 19th century. The building features a rendered exterior over a timber frame and has a plain tiled roof. It is two stories tall and has a hall and cross wing plan, with a doorway located at the angle and a projecting gable on the left side. The windows have been renewed and are of the mullioned type. There is a stack on the left side wall. Inside, the timber work is exposed but has been largely renewed.
