Description

Tudor Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located on Main Road in Betley. It features a timber frame set on a plastered plinth, with painted brick infill panels and a brick extension that mimics timber framing. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has a brick ridge stack. The cottage is a single-cell structure with two storeys, showcasing three tiers of small rectangular panels at the eaves level. The windows are mainly 20th-century casements, with four on the ground floor and one on the first floor, and there is a roughly central blocked door. To the right, there is a two-storey extension, while a low 20th-century extension on the left contains the current entrance. The left gable features a collar and tie beam roof truss with V-struts above the collar.
