Description

Tudor House is a 17th-century house with later alterations, situated on Main Road in Betley. It was originally listed under Main Street and previously included a range of three cottages to the south. The house is timber framed with herringbone patterned brick nogging. It features a brick plinth, some brick rebuilding, a fishscale tile roof, a brick ridge stack, and an integral end stack. The building consists of a three-bay main range and a 17th-century extension wing to the north-east, creating an L-shaped plan. The house has one storey and an attic, with two tiers of rectangular panels between the plinth and eaves. It has three windows with casements, and gabled attic dormers. A bow window is located on the right-hand side. The right-hand bay is constructed entirely of brick. There are two 20th-century doors. The left-hand gable displays an exposed collar and tie beam roof truss with queen struts below the collar and V-struts above. The interior was not inspected.
