Description
No. 1 Quonian's Lane is a house, now used as an office, likely built in the late 17th century or early 18th century, with restoration carried out in the early 20th century. The structure features a timber frame with brick infill and a tiled roof that has a brick stack at the front of the ridge. It is two storeys high and has a two-window range. The entrance on the left side is adorned with a canopy supported by carved wooden figures and a wrought iron bracket above a battened door. The entrance on the right side also has a battened door, with a relief plaque of St Christopher located above it under the gable. The windows are fitted with leaded glazing; the ground floor includes a four-light oriel window to the left of centre and a two-light window to the left of the right entrance. On the first floor, there is a canted oriel window with a configuration of 1:3:1 lights to the left of centre and a four-light window at the right end. The square framing is visible on the sole plate. Inside, the timber-framed cross wall and the right end gable are exposed.
