Description
Wall Hall is an early 19th-century house located on Green Lane in Wall. The building features a combination of render and roughcast on brick, with a tiled roof that has a parapet at the front only and central stacks. The entrance front presents a facade that is built up onto a lower building, rising three storeys high. It has a heavy cornice at the parapet and quoins at the corners.
There are three windows on the facade, all with rendered surrounds. The top floor has square glazing bar sashes, while the first floor features small pane casements set back in elliptically-headed panels with quoin surrounds. The ground floor is distinguished by two flat-roofed semicircular bays, which are flanked by double fluted pilasters and contain tripartite sashes.
The central entrance is marked by a small porch supported by columns, complete with a frieze and cornice, leading to a part-glazed door. The lower side elevation ramps up to the facade at parapet level on the right side, with two glazing bar sashes visible on the left. Wall Hall boasts an ambitious frontage that is prominently situated at the entrance to the village.
