Description
Moat Bank House is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century, with possibly an earlier core, and has undergone alterations in the mid-19th century and 20th century. The building is constructed of red brick, with some parts rendered. It features a hipped tile roof and an end stack on the left side. The house is three storeys tall and has a four-window front. The right side displays exposed brickwork, while the larger part has two windows. The left side has segmental-head casements with two lights, and there are three on the right; a small single window is located in the top storey. The entrance is on the left side of the exposed brick section but is centrally positioned on the building. It features a 20th-century pedimented porch supported by columns, which frames an 18th-century moulded surround and overlight, leading to a 20th-century panelled door. The rendered section on the left has two closely spaced segmental-head casements and a lean-to at the left end. A wing at the rear may contain the earlier core of the house.
