Description

Drayton Brick Bridge is a canal bridge built around 1787, located on the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal. It is constructed of red brick with stone coping and features a single semi-circular arch that spans the canal. The bridge has a plain parapet and square end piers. On the north side, there is a small round-headed door to the left of the arch. The Minworth to Fazeley branch of the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal, which the bridge serves, was opened in 1789, and the contractor for its construction was John Pinkerton.
