Description

Irranley Limited Old Mill is a former cotton mill built in the late 18th century for Sir Robert Peel. The structure is made of red brick and has a plain tile roof. It is aligned east-west and faces north. The building has three storeys and features 19 bays, with cast iron glazing bar windows that include a central pivoted section. The ground and first floor windows have segmental heads. There is an inserted vehicle entrance in the second bay from the left. The mill was constructed in two phases, with the eight left-hand bays being built first.
