Description
Bridge Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 17th century, with later alterations and additions. The building features plastered brick that largely replaces earlier timber framing and has a thatched roof with a scalloped ridge. It has a brick integral end stack. The cottage consists of two framed bays aligned east-west, facing north, with single-bay extensions to both the east and west. It is one storey and has an attic, with two casement windows and eyebrow dormers. The door is located to the left of centre and is sheltered by a gable porch. To the right, there is a single-storey lean-to extension, while to the left, there is a two-storey extension that has a dentilled eaves band, casement windows, and a single-storey gabled projection on its left side. The right return of this projection features a central door and two casements with segmental heads.
