Description

Westgate Cottage is a house dating from the 18th century, with early 19th century alterations. It features a painted brick exterior with a stucco facade and a hipped tile roof, arranged in a right angle plan and designed in the Tudor style. The building stands two storeys tall and has a top cornice. The windows have chamfered reveals and label moulds, with triple sashes that have pointed heads. There is a cross-axial stack. The left side has a short wing that connects to Westgate House, featuring a similar 20th century window. The right side displays varied casement windows, including a pegged cross-casement, and a shallow ground floor projection with two late 19th century bay windows. At the rear, there is a gable with a 16-pane sash window.
