Description

Moat House, now used as offices, dates from around 1750. It is constructed of brick with ashlar dressings and features a hipped tile roof with brick stacks. The building has a double-depth plan and is designed in the Georgian style, standing two storeys high with an attic and a four-window range. A top cornice runs along the building, and there is a segmental-headed entrance located to the left of centre. This entrance has a doorcase with an architrave and a consoled pediment, topped with an enriched radial-bar fanlight above a six-panel door. The windows are fitted with sills and have rubbed brick flat arches with keys over twelve-pane sashes, while hipped dormers contain casements.

On the left return, there are two brick platt bands and a 20th-century wing to the left of a segmental-headed window, which features a pegged cross-casement with leaded glazing. The rear of the building has two coped gables and an attached small gabled outbuilding to the right, showcasing varied fenestration that includes a 19th-century canted bay window and two 18th-century rainwater heads with downspouts. To the left, there is a stone-coped wall with a segmental-headed entrance that has a plank door.
