Description

Spring Cottage is an early 19th-century house located on Swinscoe Hill in Mayfield. The building is roughcast with painted stone quoins of unequal length and features a slate roof with brick integral end stacks. It consists of two parallel ranges and stands two storeys high, with three windows. The windows are glazing bar sashes, with the first-floor left window having horns. On the ground floor, there are canted bay windows to the left and right of a central panelled door. The upper three panels of the door are glazed and have trefoiled heads, and it is topped by a wooden bracketed hood. The house has a plain parapet.
