Description

No. 181 on Horninglow Street is a Grade II* listed Regency building. Constructed from red brick, it stands three storeys high and features three sash windows. The central window is highlighted with stuccoed shafts and a festooned cornice set within an arched recess. Below, there are two three-light windows, also with stuccoed shafts and moulded cornices in arched recesses. The entrance is framed by a stuccoed doorcase with Composite columns, an enriched radial fanlight, and a dentilled pediment. There is a band and a sunk arched recess on the left side with a doorway beneath. The building has a dentilled eaves cornice and a leaded blocking course. Inside, the property retains a plain but good original staircase and an Adam style fireplace in the room to the left of the entrance.
