Description

No. 72 on Gowthorpe is a mid-19th century building constructed of red brick with stucco dressings and a pitched slate roof. It has two storeys and features a diagonally placed brick eaves cornice. The building is arranged in three bays, with sash windows that have fluted keystones. There is a passage entrance that includes a blind semi-circular fanlight and a fluted keystone above the door, which has four moulded panels and an oblong fanlight with glazing bars set in panelled reveals. The entrance is flanked by panelled pilasters and topped with a modillioned cornice.
