Description
The gazebo and dovecote, located approximately 50 yards west of Wootton Lodge, date from the 18th century and have undergone later alterations. It is constructed from coursed and squared large stone blocks and features a plain tile roof. The building has a roughly triangular plan, with a door centrally located on the east side and glazing bar sash windows on the north, south, and west sides. Inside, there are square nesting boxes in the dovecote located below the floor. The structure is positioned on the edge of a precipice, providing a view over the fishponds to the west.
