Description

The Ridgway Memorial, located approximately 30 meters west of the tower of the Church of St Mary, is a chest tomb dedicated to George Ridgway, who died in 1824. It is made of stone and features a raised, ridged top slab. The tomb has bowed, reeded pilasters at the corners, which are adorned with paterae at the capitals. An inscribed slate side panel is present but has slipped; it was on site during the resurvey in September 1984.
