The building is a summer house located approximately 50 yards south of Mayfield House. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed from roots and branches, featuring a felted roof. Designed in the Gothick style, the structure is one storey high and has ogee-headed window openings on the left, right, and above the central ogee-headed doorway. This summer house is a rare and well-maintained example of its kind.
