Description
Matherfield House and The Vicarage are a pair of houses built in the late 18th century in two phases. They are constructed of red brick with a clay tile roof featuring coped verges on shaped kneelers and red brick integral stacks. The buildings consist of two parallel ranges, each two storeys high with a gable-lit attic. There is a vertical joint in the centre, and the houses have a total of six windows. The left side features glazing bar sashes with gauged brick heads, while the right side has windows with lintels grooved as voussoirs and raised keys. The left house, Matherfield House, has a central six-panelled door with an oblong over-light, and the right house, The Vicarage, has a segmental-headed door to its left.
