Description
The Nook is a cottage with a core dating back to the 17th century, which has been refaced in the late 19th century. It features painted brickwork and a thatched roof, with a tiled addition and end stacks. The front of the building is divided into two parts: a low single-storey and attic section on the left, which has a thatched roof, and a taller bay on the right that is a later 19th-century construction. The left section has swept dormers above 20th-century small-pane five-light windows, and a three-sided 19th-century oriel window on the ground floor to the right. There is a Gothic boarded segmental-headed door situated between the windows, with one stud remaining that suggests a possible former timber frame above the door-head to the right. The taller bay features a large gabled dormer with a small casement window beneath it and an additional entrance to the left. This building is included for its group value.
