BLITHFIELD C.P. NEWTON The Woodlands

II House. C17 with later alterations and additions. Timber framed with roughcast panels; plain tile roof; rendered ridge stack. Main two bay house aligned east-west with two single bay extensions to the east.

Main house of one-storey and attic adjoined on the left by a slightly lower projecting wing of one storey and gable-lit attic with set-back single-storey extension and quarter-round link with hipped roof to left of it. Main house: four windows, latticed casements, three gabled dormers; three square panels to eaves and short straight braces to left, right and centre.

Extensions: wing to right has one casement within projecting window bay; three square panels to eaves and short straight braces; extension to left is blind and roughcast; the quarter-round link is roughcast and lit by a small casement.
