Description

The Woodlands is a house dating from the 17th century, with later alterations and additions. It features a timber frame with roughcast panels and a plain tile roof, topped by a rendered ridge stack. The main structure is a two-bay house oriented east-west, with two single-bay extensions to the east.

The main house has one storey and an attic, and is adjoined on the left by a slightly lower projecting wing that also has one storey and a gable-lit attic. This wing includes a set-back single-storey extension and a quarter-round link with a hipped roof to its left. The main house has four windows with latticed casements and three gabled dormers. There are three square panels at the eaves and short straight braces on the left, right, and center.

The right extension features one casement window within a projecting window bay, along with three square panels at the eaves and short straight braces. The left extension is blind and roughcast, while the quarter-round link is also roughcast and has a small casement window.
