Description
Draycott Mill is an 18th-century watermill located in Draycott-in-the-Clay. The building is constructed of red brick on a stone plinth and features a plain tile roof. It has one storey and an attic, with approximately two bays. The mill has small casement windows and gabled dormers. There is a central semi-octagonal projection with a hipped roof, which includes a casement and a gabled dormer on the right side. The mill is flanked by two segmental arches with raised keys that span the mill streams, although the right-hand arch is blocked. On the south gable, there is a door located to the right of the center. The roof truss includes a tie beam and collar with V-struts above, along with two pairs of purlins. The mill is attached to Draycott Mill Farmhouse to the north, although the farmhouse is not included in this listing. A detailed inspection of the mill was not possible at the time of the resurvey.
